All proceeds from this benefit screening go toward our work maintaining one of the most authentic classical Chinese gardens outside of China. \n\n\n\nPrior to the film\, guests will be treated to an exciting demonstration by Summit Wushu Academy\, so be sure to grab your seat early! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Film\n\n\n\nDirected by Ang Lee\, Crouching Tiger\, Hidden Dragon “臥虎藏龍” follows warrior Li Mu Bai (Chow Yun-Fat) in 19th-century Qing Dynasty China who gives his sword\, Green Destiny\, to his lover Yu Shu Lien (Michelle Yeoh) to deliver for safe keeping—until it is stolen\, and the chase is on to find it. Co-starring Zhang Ziyi as Jen Yu and an original score featuring cello solos from Yo-Yo Ma\, Crouching TIger\, Hidden Dragon is a martial arts masterpiece and considered one of the greatest films of the 21st Century. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSpecial Performance: Summit Wushu Academy\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSummit Wushu Academy was opened in 2012 by brothers Phillip and Peter Dang. With 25 years of experience of training and previously representing the United States National Wushu Team on the World stage\, some of their students have also achieved awards in both national and international competitions. \n\n\n\nSifu Phillip is now working in stunts in the film industry and can be seen in recent films such as The Paper Tigers and Mulan.
