Ancient Currency Rubbing Workshop
May 23 @ 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Did you know China was the first civilization in the world to use paper currency? As early as the Song Dynasty, paper money was already in circulation more than 600 years before it appeared in the West.
In this hands on workshop, visitors will explore the history of ancient Chinese currency and discover how money evolved throughout different dynasties. Guests will also have the opportunity to create their own traditional Chinese paper money rubbing to take home as a unique cultural keepsake.
