Known on Instagram and TikTok for traveling the world with only the money he makes playing guitar, Blake is bringing his music and stories to Portland as part of his US tour. Come spend the afternoon in the garden, hear Blake play, and welcome him to our city and one of its greatest treasures.
Meet Blake
Blake Robert is an Austin-based musician making upbeat pop rock, centered on rhythm and connection. His approach is simple: a guitar, a story, and a smile.
Blake travels the globe with his guitar, making friends everywhere he goes. His viral series “Surviving [Destination] on No Money” documents what it’s like to get by solely off the money he earns playing his guitar in various international destinations. The project captures what it really takes to build a music career from the ground up — part road trip, part survival, and all music.
Blake has already performed in fourteen countries around the world, building an impressive international fanbase early in his music career, and garnering press coverage in both the US and Canada.
Blake’s songs reflect the same mindset that drives his journey: grounded optimism and bringing people together. His debut album will be released in summer 2026.

There is free first come, first served parking in our sister lot next to the garden at 424 NW Third Avenue. Additional metered parking and garages are available on surrounding streets.
