Chinese YoYo Demo

The diabolo (also called Yo-Yo in China) is a traditional Chinese folk toy and also a performance prop. It is spun rapidly using a string to perform tossing tricks and dance-like movements. Visitors are invited to watch a diabolo performance and try simple diabolo techniques themselves.
Meet the Community Partner:
The Dragonfly Diabolo Team was formed in the spring of 2023, emerging from the pandemic as community youth embraced the activity for both enjoyment and the development of mental resilience. The team made its debut at the Youth Conference and later delivered a captivating performance on the Festival stage at Pioneer Courthouse Square that summer. Since then, their Diabolo performances have become a sought-after highlight at community cultural events.

There is free first come, first served parking in our sister lot next to the garden at 424 NW Third Avenue. Additional metered parking and garages are available on surrounding streets.
