Oregon Rises Above Hate Presents: Free Admission Day

In honor of Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month, members of the community are invited to the sixth annual Oregon Rises Above Hate (ORAH) event on May 2, 2026, Lan Su Chinese Garden.
Performance Schedule
From noon to 6:00 PM at Lan Su, there will be musical and dance performances from local cultural groups:
- 12:00 PM: Portland Lee’s Association Dragon & Lion Dance Team
- 1:00 PM: Cambodian Dance Troupe of Oregon
- 2:00 PM: Paradise of Samoa
- 3:00 PM: Portland Chinese Dance Troupe
- 4:00 PM: Chinese Friendship Association of Portland (CFAP) Fitness Dance Team
- 5:00 PM: Takohachi
Community Tabling
Local nonprofit resources will also be tabling throughout the garden:
- API Forward
- Chinese American Citizens Alliance (CACA–Portland)
- Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition (PIRC)
- The Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO)
- The Immigrant Story
Other cultural heritage institutions in Old Town will be open for Pay As You Will admission to encourage the exploration of AANHPI culture and history, including the Japanese American Museum of Oregon, Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education, and Portland Chinatown Museum.

Parking & Directions
Free Lan Su Parking
There is free first come, first served parking in our sister lot next to the garden at 424 NW Third Avenue. Additional metered parking and garages are available on surrounding streets.
