Event & Activity Support

Be part of the team that delivers Lan Su’s iconic cultural festivals and events! Support our Culture & Community team on a wide varieties of cultural programs, garden events, and iconic celebrations such as Lunar New Year, Mid-Autumn Festival, and Lantern Viewing Evenings. This is a seasonal volunteer position. Shift scheduled as needed.
Garden Host

Support the garden’s Visitor Services operations and work closely with the Visitor Services Associates to promote positive Lan Su experience. Garden Hosts greet, assist, and interact with garden visitors and members at the garden entry. Regular shifts available.
Horticulture Support
+
Learn from professional Lan Su horticulturists while assisting in the maintenance of the 200+ Chinese plant specimens at the garden. Other tasks include cleaning debris, grooming plants and sweeping pathways. Multiple shifts available daily.
Lan Su Guide
+
Help guests make the most of their visits by sharing knowledge about Lan Su’s cultural motifs, history/construction, and more by leading tours of the garden. This role requires special training that is held in group sessions. Please contact [email protected] for more information.
Nook & Cranny Patrol
+
Support the garden’s Facilities operations to maintain and preserve Lan Su’s non-horticultural spaces. Assist the facilities staff to keep the pavilions, their accessories, and garden pathways clean and in excellent condition. Clear away cobwebs, dust, polish furniture, clean glass, sweep walkways and buildings. Multiple shifts available daily.
Office Support

Come join us at the Lan Su admin office! Work closely with Lan Su staff team and support the garden’s administrative work, program preparation, philanthropic projects or other assignments.
