Performers

Wei Dai
Illuminated Dragon Ribbon + Fire Swords
Wei Dai is well known on social media as @wei_dreams_of_dragons (Instagram; TikTok) for his breathtaking performances around the world.
Less than a decade ago, the elderly in China combined elements from Rope Dart and Ribbon Spinning to create a fitness toy that is “Dragon Ribbon Dancing” (彩帶龍) or “Fitness Dragon” (健身龍). With the help of modern materials and electronics, Dragon Streamers became a popular tool to exercise, have fun, and create art with. Wei brings this modern art to life with both illuminated streamers and hanfu dress.

Portland Chinese Dance Troupe (PCDT)
Lotus Dream Dance
Portland Chinese Dance Troupe was founded in 2003 as a recreational dance group. All ladies in the group grew up in China; their childhood memories of beautiful Chinese folk dance and music follow them wherever they go. Most members in the troupe are working moms with busy daily schedules, but in the past thirteen years, led by the Artistic Director Julie Ding, they gather at the dance studio every week, practicing, exercising, laughing, sharing, getting relaxed after a week of hectic life, and most importantly, fulfilling their dreams!
PDCT maintains a deep devotion to building the bridge across generations, between the old and the young, and across cultures between the East and the West.
