A rare opportunity to study with one of the highest-ranking traditional Tai Chi masters now teaching in the Pacific Northwest. Join internationally recognized World Wushu Championships Silver Medalist Coach Xing Xiangping (邢相萍) for an exclusive three-week residency at Lan Su Chinese Garden.
A seventh-generation direct lineage holder of Yang-style Tai Chi and sixth-generation inheritor of Bagua Zhang, Coach Xing represents a living tradition passed down through generations of Chinese martial arts masters. As a two-time silver medalist at the World Wushu Championships, she brings world-class expertise and authentic instruction rarely available outside of China.
Open to all experience levels, these sessions focus on authentic Yang-style Tai Chi, emphasizing proper body alignment, balance, coordinated movement, and foundational techniques that support lifelong health, vitality, and inner calm.
This special residency is included with regular Lan Su admission. No registration is required—walk-ins are welcome.
Meet Coach Xing
Coach Xing Xiangping is a seventh-generation Yang-style Tai Chi lineage holder, a certified 5th Duan coach by the Chinese Wushu Association, and a two-time silver medalist at the 10th World Wushu Championships. Recently relocated to Portland, she is dedicated to sharing the authentic traditions of Tai Chi and promoting healthy aging, cultural appreciation, and holistic well-being through her teaching.

There is free first come, first served parking in our sister lot next to the garden at 424 NW Third Avenue. Additional metered parking and garages are available on surrounding streets.
