Lan Su’s Artist Membership provides benefits created specifically for creatives, including additional access to Lan Su, the ability to sell images of the garden, and invitations to events tailored for artists.
Artist Member Benefits
Artist Member Policies
- We ask all photographers, amateur and professional, to honor our policies when using Lan Su Chinese Garden as a background for any photography.
- Keep equipment on pathways at all times.
- Use tripods and easels only during Artist Member hour.
- We do not allow the use of oil or acrylic paints, wax (including encaustic), glitter, or any oils for mixing (such as linseed) in the garden.
- Be respectful of other artist members.
- Portrait photo shoots are not included in this membership. Schedule a photo shoot »
- We require the location credit “Lan Su Chinese Garden, Portland, Oregon” in all uses of the garden image in print, on the web, in broadcast, and in any other public medium.
Photo Rights & Usage
Lan Su Chinese Garden allows promotional usage of photos taken in the garden by its current Artist Members. The Marketing and Communications Department reserves the right to use any and all photographs taken of the Garden to promote, market, and advertise the Garden.
