Lotus Talk Series: Medicine
July 18 @ 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

The lotus is a beautiful symbol of summer, but did you know it also holds an important place in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)?
The lotus plant (Sacred Lotus) has long been used in traditional Chinese medicine. Nearly every part of the plant has medicinal value, including the flower, leaf, seed, lotus plumule, root, and rhizome node. They are especially popular during hot summer seasons or for people experiencing irritability, heaviness, or rich/oily diets.
If you want to learn more, and see, touch, and smell all the lotus herb samples, please join Carmen Chin for an insightful talk and explore the many medicinal uses and hidden wonders of the lotus.
