Lan Su Chinese Garden is pleased to offer an Artist Membership Addendum for photographers and artists—professional and amateur alike. This yearly membership provides benefits created specifically for artists including additional access to Lan Su, the ability to sell photos and paintings of the garden and invitations to events tailored for an artist.
Lan Su hosts several artists each year, from the Pacific Northwest and beyond, to show work in the pavilions of the garden. From classical Chinese styles to contemporary work, each show offers a new experience of Lan Su Yuan.
Lan Su Chinese Garden invites artists working in all mediums to submit images for review for public exhibition in the garden. Exhibitions run generally one-to-two months in one or more of the enclosed pavilions within the garden. Of particular interest are works from Portland-area artists with botanical and Chinese cultural themes although all manner of subjects will be considered. Please include a brief biography stating work mediums and inspirations, any recent and relevant links to your work (website, social media, etc.), as well as details about size, format, and, if possible, retail gallery price ranges of the bulk of your work. If selected, agreements will be entered into for exhibition sales on a commission basis. Review of images begins immediately upon receipt.
The deadline for submissions for the 2019 calendar year is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2018. Email submissions to email@example.com; no calls or drop-ins please. All artists considered for exhibition will be contacted for follow up. Submissions received after this time may or may not be considered for future shows.
