Lion Face Painting with Strawberry Paint Shop
Enjoy free face painting or body art with lion dance designs! Local artist Adrienne Hentschel of Strawberry Paint Shop will be on site to deliver colorful works of art you can wear home and show off!
Lion Dance Performance: Chinese Friendship Association of Portland
CFAP’s youth lion dance team will perform a Southern-style Chinese lion dance to spread joy to visitors as we close out Lion Dance & Kung Fu Weekends. Their performances are vivid and entertaining—even comical!

Don’t miss this incredibly rare opportunity to experience another style of lion dance at Lan Su! Portland Shishimai Kai will introduce visitors to shishimai, the traditional Japanese lion dance. Featuring a one-person lion and group of musicians, it’s completely different than a Chinese lion dance!
