Meet the Presenting Partner: Oregon Rises Above Hate (ORAH)
Oregon Rises Above Hate is the result of a coming together of AANHPI (Asian, Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander) community leaders who want to defeat anti-Asian hate through targeted government action, broad educational programs, and by harnessing the power of the entire AANHPI community and all Oregonians statewide. ORAH events have been supported by over 50 AANHPI and local organizations and businesses. They believe that change will come through unity of purpose, continuous education, and thoughtful action. ORAH are not seeking donations nor are they a formal organization - they are a common voice seeking to amplify voices in the AANHPI community to create a better place for all.

Meet the Performers: Filipino American Friendship Club of Oregon
The Filipino American Friendship Club of Oregon, an affiliate of the Council of Filipino American Associations, was founded in 1978 by a group of Filipino families in Washington County wishing to preserve and share their culture with their children and the greater community. We celebrated the club’s 40th anniversary on March 9th with a cotillion in which 12 debutantes and their escorts performed a Filipino-Spanish folk dance, the Rigodon de Honor; several of the debutantes and escorts were children of past debutantes and escorts. Our Children’s Dance Troupe continues to be invited to perform at cultural events at schools, churches and community festivals. We also participate in community service events such as Friends of Trees and Adopt-A-Road.
